NCDMB Commissions Delta Feed Mill, Trains 30 Women In Agribusiness

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), in partnership with Jayden Pride Technologies Limited, has commissioned a state-of-the-art Feed Mill and Processing Facility in Koko Community, Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State.

The event, held at the Mile 4 Feed Mill facility in Koko, highlighted NCDMB’s ongoing efforts to build capacity in critical linkage sectors of the Nigerian economy.

It also marked the official start of a specialized training program for 30 Nigerian women under the Nigerian Women in Agribusiness (NIWAB) initiative.

The training focuses on feed mill operations, safety protocols, and best practices in animal feed production.

Speaking at the event,
Mr. Egoli Ebikombo-Owei, NCDMB’s Corporate Communications Division, emphasized the facility’s role in advancing agricultural development across the South-South region.

He stated that the project would enhance animal husbandry practices, generate employment opportunities, and stimulate broader economic activity in the host community and beyond.

Miss Chika Okechukwu, representing Jayden Pride Technologies Limited, thanked NCDMB for its steadfast support of Nigerian content development and the empowerment of indigenous expertise.

She described the commissioned facility as a tangible example of how collaboration between government and local private sector players can drive meaningful progress and capacity building.

Also speaking, Delta State Coordinator of NIWAB, Barrister Bethel Aboh, hailed the initiative as a strategic combination of infrastructure investment and skills development.

She noted that it promises to foster sustainable livelihoods, promote economic empowerment, and create lasting impact for women in the Koko community and surrounding areas.

The project aligns with NCDMB’s broader mandate to promote local participation and value addition in Nigeria’s key sectors, while supporting initiatives that address food security, women’s economic inclusion, and rural development.

The commissioning is expected to boost livestock productivity in the region by providing high-quality animal feed and equipping participants with practical skills for long-term agribusiness success.
