Chelsea Appoint Liam Rosenior As New Head Coach

Chelsea have confirmed the appointment of Liam Rosenior as their new head coach on a six-year contract, replacing Enzo Maresca.

The 41-year-old finalised the move on Tuesday after earlier confirming at a farewell press conference at Strasbourg that he had verbally agreed to join the Premier League club.

“I am extremely humbled and honoured to be appointed head coach of Chelsea Football Club,” Rosenior said in a statement on the club’s website.

“This is a club with a unique spirit and a proud history of winning trophies. My job is to protect that identity and build a team that reflects those values.”

Rosenior, who has just three years’ experience as a manager and no previous Premier League coaching experience, becomes Chelsea’s fourth permanent head coach since the club was taken over by the BlueCo consortium in 2022.
