JAMB: 2026 UTME, DE Form Fees Remain Unchanged

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has said it has no plan to increase the cost of registration for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE).

In its Weekly Bulletin on Monday, the board assured parents, guardians and candidates that fees have not been increased in the last nine years and have even been reduced under the current administration.

JAMB said any future review would only occur if necessary to protect the integrity and quality of the examination process, in line with the Federal Government’s directive to consider the economic realities facing Nigerian families.

The board added that the clarification was meant to help families plan ahead, noting that the cost of the 2026 exercise remains largely the same as last year’s.

JAMB also urged candidates to register early, stressing that the registration window would not be extended once it opens.

The sale of the 2026 UTME and Direct Entry forms will begin on January 31, 2026, and end on March 8, 2026.
