Sack Calls “Mischievous” – Shehu Sani Defends Bello Matawalle

Former Senator Shehu Sani has defended Minister of State for Defence Bello Matawalle, dismissing calls for his removal as “mischievous and politically motivated.”

In a post on X, Sani praised Matawalle for his role in securing the release of abducted Kebbi State schoolgirls, arguing that the minister deserves commendation rather than criticism.

He noted that the military and other security agencies remain primarily responsible for tackling bandits and terrorists.

Sani also lauded President Bola Tinubu’s nomination of ex-Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, as the new Defence Minister, expressing confidence that Musa will effectively lead the ministry.
