Nigerian celebrity chef Hilda Baci has received her second Guinness World Record plaque for cooking the world’s largest pot of jollof rice.
The feat, confirmed by Guinness World Records, saw her prepare 8,780 kilograms (19,356 pounds) of jollof rice during a Lagos cookout in September.
This comes a year after her first plaque for the longest cooking marathon, a 93-hour, 11-minute record set in May 2023.
Hilda shared photos of both plaques on social media, describing her double achievement as “a story of faith, fire, and history.”
“Twice, we made history for Nigeria. Two records. Two plaques. A reminder that passion meets purpose,” she wrote.
With these titles, Hilda becomes Nigeria’s first chef to hold two Guinness World Records, cementing her place as one of Africa’s most celebrated culinary figures.
