Senate Approves Life Jail Term For Child Sex Offenders

The Nigerian Senate on Tuesday passed a bill prescribing life imprisonment for pedophiles and anyone convicted of having sexual intercourse with minors.

Under the new law, offenders regardless of gender will face life imprisonment without the option of a fine.
