Mass Funeral In Sana’a For Reporters Slain In Israeli Airstrikes

Hundreds gathered in Yemen’s capital Tuesday for the funeral of 31 journalists killed in Israeli airstrikes last week.

Mourners filled the al-Shaab mosque before coffins draped in cloths were carried out in an honour guard procession.

The Sept. 10 strikes targeted Houthi sites in Sana’a after a Houthi drone breached Israeli defenses and hit an airport in southern Israel.

Yemen’s Houthi-run health ministry said the bombardment also struck homes, a petrol station and a military base, killing dozens.

The Houthis, who back Hamas, have stepped up attacks on Israel with drones and missiles.
