The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the commencement of the physical verification exercise for foreign-trained graduates enlisted in the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II service year.
The process is expected to commence on September 15, 2025 across designated centers nationwide, and is aimed at authenticating credentials and travel documents submitted by prospective corps members who obtained their qualifications outside Nigeria.
According to the NYSC Directorate, the verification is a mandatory step to ensure that all foreign-trained graduates meet the eligibility criteria for national service. Officials will be reviewing academic certificates, international passports, and other relevant documentation to confirm the authenticity of each applicant’s educational background and travel history.
Prospective corps members are advised to appear in person at their assigned verification centers with original copies of all required documents. Failure to comply may result in disqualification from the current service year.
The NYSC emphasized its commitment to maintaining the integrity of the mobilization process and ensuring that only qualified individuals are admitted into the scheme.
The statement reads, “This is to inform all Foreign Trained Nigerian Graduates that after online registration for the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Service Year, Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) whose credentials and travel documents are yet to be physically verified should avail themselves for physical verification exercise scheduled to hold from Monday, 15th to Wednesday, 17th September, 2025 at the following chosen centres: NYSC Secretariat, Abakaliki Road, G.R.A, Enugu State, Shadawanka Military Barracks, Bauchi, Bauchi State, NYSC Orientation Camp, Kubwa, Abuja and Bukavu Military Barracks, Fagge, Airport Road, Kano
“Other locations include NYSC Orientation Camp, Iyana Ipaja, Lagos, NYSC Secretariat, New Ikirun Road, Osogbo, Osun State, NYSC Secretariat, 40 Ikwerre Road, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Eagle Officers Mess, Gingiya Military Barracks, Gusau Rd, Sokoto, NYSC Secretariat, Federal Secretariat Complex, Yola, Adamawa State.
“As part of the measures to ensure orderliness and avoid overcrowding, Prospective Corps Members are expected to strictly report on the date, time, and venue specified on the verification slip.
“They are to present all original credentials and travel documents as uploaded online during registration.
“Medical graduates should, in addition, upload Licenses, Registration Certificates and other relevant documents issued by their various bodies and also come along with the originals to the verification centres.
“Original copies of Evaluation letters issued by the Federal Ministry of Education (where applicable) should be submitted at the NYSC Headquarters, Abuja and acknowledged copies uploaded online by the PCMs.
“PCMs are to note that only persons physically seen with credentials, physically verified and cleared would be deployed, exempted, or excluded from National Service.”
