The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced a change in the venue and time of its upcoming National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting scheduled for Thursday, July 24, 2025.

Originally slated to hold at the party’s national secretariat on Blantyre Street, Wuse II, Abuja, the meeting will now take place at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa by 2:00 p.m.

APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, disclosed the adjustment in a statement on Wednesday, citing logistical reasons for the change of location.

“This change of venue from the party’s National Secretariat to the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, is due to logistical reasons,” Morka said.

The timing of the NEC meeting is considered crucial as the party is expected to officially endorse a successor to former National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, who resigned in June over health concerns.

Following his resignation, a leadership vacuum emerged at the helm of the ruling party. Party insiders suggest that Acting National Chairman, Ali Bukar Dalori, may continue in the interim capacity until a formal elective convention is convened.

Also on the agenda are reports from the Constitution Review Committee and discussions on the party’s e-registration drive ahead of the 2027 general elections.
