Stakeholders of The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo has reiterated their resolve to reclaim the mandate stolen from them by APC in the 2024 gubernatorial election in the state.
The Chairman of PDP in Oredo Local Government Area , Henschel Usiobafo applauded party faithfuls for their loyalty and unwavering support describing the large turnout as a proof that the PDP remained a strong, united political force in the local government and the entire Edo state.
The Chairman said that the meeting was to appreciate the steadfastness of party leaders and members across the 12 wards in Oredo, he further praised Oredo East lawmaker Uyi Frank Omosigho and PDP councilors for their resilience in the face of alleged harassment from the ruling party.
The Chairman of Oredo Local Government Council, Dr Tom Obaseki, described Oredo as the “heartbeat of Edo politics he noted that the area delivered the highest number of votes for the PDP in the 2024 election. Obaseki observed that no leader of PDP has decamped, he sees it as a testimony of the party’s cohesion and a shared belief in its values and vision.
“What happened at the tribunal was a judgment, not justice. True justice reflects the will of the people, as demonstrated at the polls. We remain confident that our victory will be restored through a fair and just process.” Obaseki said, urging members to remain united and steadfast as their mandate will surely be reclaimed.
Idehen Ebomoyi, a member of The PDP South South Zonal Caretaker Committee was full of praises for the resilience of Oredo PDP, seeing it as the most consistent and inspiring chapter in the South South region.
Ebomoyi presented goodwill messages from party leaders Asue Ighodalo and Osarodion Ogie, which acknowledged their awareness of the support from Oredo Chapter of the party. He was full of praises for PDP Board of Trustees member, Chief Lucky Igbinedion, for his continued strategic guidance.
Ebomoyi reaffirmed the party’s resolve, stating that PDP remains a political force to be reckoned with, as it will reclaim it’s stolen mandate and defend democratic ideals in Edo State.
