NNPC Ltd Cuts Petrol Prices To N880 In Lagos, N935 In Abuja, Opens Two Retail Stations

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has announced a reduction in the pump price of premium motor spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, at its filling stations in Lagos and Abuja.

The Matrix Newspaper gathered that NNPC retail outlets were selling petrol at N880 per litre in Lagos and N935 per litre in Abuja. This price change reflects a N45 decrease from the previous price of N925 per litre in Lagos, and a N15 reduction from the earlier N950 per litre in Abuja.

This price reduction comes just days after the Dangote Refinery lowered the ex-gantry price of petrol to N890 per litre.

Following this move, several key partners of the refinery also reduced their petrol pump prices to N890 per litre in Lagos, down from the previous price of N920 per litre on April 16.

Meanwhile, the state oil company has announced the opening of two new retail stations in Bauchi and Abuja.

During the launch of the two new retail stations, the company treated several customers to free petrol.

The notice on X Platform reads, “New Retail Station Alert. Hello, Bauchi! Our new station along Kano–Ningi Road was officially opened on April 17, 2025.

“To celebrate, we treated some of our first customers to free fuel as a thank-you for the warm welcome.

“Stop by for quality fuel, reliable service, and a smooth experience every time”.

“We are now closer to you! Our new station on Airport Road, Abuja (opposite Shoprite), is open. We care about your comfort, safety, and satisfaction.

“To say thank you, we gave away free fuel to customers who stopped by to purchase petroleum products, including over 200 bike riders who received 5 litres of free fuel.

“Stop by for your quality fuel and a smooth, enjoyable experience every time”.
