KIA Motors Expands Local Vehicle Assembly Plant

In a bid to leverage technology, and contribute to the growth of the Nigerian economy, KIA Motors Nigeria has expanded its local vehicle assembly plant.

The local assembly plant, which has been in operation for several years with cutting-edge technology, has played a crucial role in providing employment opportunities, developing local skills, and increasing the availability of affordable and reliable vehicles in Nigeria.

In addition to the expansion, KIA Motors Nigeria has introduced a booking option for its luxury electric cars like the EV5 and EV9, with the CNG cars and buses available as part of its ongoing effort to continue to lead the charge for greener energy and sustainability in Nigeria.

Omolade Akinyode, marketing manager of KIA Motors Nigeria, said that Kia’s customers are now more aware of the multiple personal and social benefits of having an electric or a CNG car.

Akinyode said that state Governors and even corporate organisations are also making the right moves, and KIA is available to assist them in making the best automobile decision.

“Our luxury electric cars are designed to provide a seamless driving experience, with advanced features such as zero emissions, fast charging, and a spacious interior perfect for environmentally conscious individuals and organizations seeking to reduce their carbon footprints.

“Also, our CNG cars and buses are safe and cost-effective. They are designed to be less strenuous on the engine, giving it a longer lifespan, and the essence is to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and enhance energy independence,” Akinyode said.
