You Have No Case, Tribunal Dismisses PDP, Ighodalo’s Suit, Affirms Okpebholo As Edo Gov

The Edo Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal in Abuja has dismissed the case of Asue Ighodalo thereby affirming Senator Monday Okpebholo as the Edo State Governor.

The Tribunal also dismissed the petition of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Justice Wilfred Kpochi of the Tribunal’s three-man panel passed its verdict in a unanimous judgement, stressing that the petitioners failed to prove its allegations of over voting and electoral non-compliance.

It would be recalled that the PDP and Ighodalo had sued the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the governor and others, for declaring Sen. Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as winner of the poll, alleging that the election was marred by irregularities.
