Former Governor Oyinlola, Speaker Cast Votes As Osun LG Election Gains Momentum

The Osun State local government election witnessed high-profile participation as former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola and Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Adewale Egbedun, exercised their civic rights on Saturday.

Oyinlola cast his vote at Oba Ojomu Ward 1 in Okuku, Odo-Otin Local Government Area, while Speaker Egbedun also turned out at his designated polling unit.

Their participation underscored the significance of the election, which has been closely watched across the state.

Governor Ademola Adeleke had earlier arrived at his polling unit, Unit 9, Sagba Abogunde Ward 2, in Ede North Local Government Area, at 7:56 a.m., accompanied by supporters and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Commending the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSIEC) for ensuring a smooth and orderly process, Adeleke emphasized the importance of credible local government elections in strengthening grassroots democracy.
