Elder Statesman Edwin Clark Dies At 97

Edwin Clark, the leader of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) and former Federal Commissioner for Information, has passed away at the age of 97.

His family confirmed his death in a statement released on Tuesday by Prof. C. C. Clark.

“The Clark-Fuludu Bekederemo family of Kiagbodo Town, Delta State, announces the passing of Chief (Dr.) Sen. Edwin Kiagbodo Clark, OFR, CON, on Monday, February 17, 2025.

Clark was a prominent South-South leader and a vocal advocate for the rights and development of the Niger Delta region.
