Nedu Wazobia Steps Down from ‘The Honest Bunch’ Podcast Amid Controversy

Popular Nigerian radio host, Chinedu Emmanuel, widely known as Nedu Wazobia, has announced his departure from The Honest Bunch podcast following ongoing controversy involving social commentator Martins Vincent Otse, also known as Verydarkman.

The dispute began after reality TV star Deeone, during an episode of the podcast, claimed that Verydarkman had an interest in men.

Rather than addressing the claim directly, Verydarkman shifted his focus to Nedu, revealing private conversations and making allegations about his personal relationships.

As public scrutiny intensified, Nedu took to Instagram on Friday to officially announce his resignation, citing the need to protect his peace of mind, family, and the integrity of the show.

In his statement, Nedu expressed gratitude for his journey on the podcast but admitted that the increasing antagonism and accusations had taken a personal toll.

“The past week has brought a lot into perspective for me. Hosting The Honest Bunch has been an incredible journey—one built on open conversations and bold perspectives.

But with that responsibility has come an overwhelming level of scrutiny, antagonism, and unfounded accusations that have now begun to take a personal toll,” he wrote.

He emphasized that while he remains dedicated to honest conversations, stepping back was necessary to put an end to the negativity surrounding his name.

“I sincerely hope this decision brings an end to the negativity surrounding my name and allows The Honest Bunch Podcast to continue thriving,” he added.

The Honest Bunch podcast, created by Glitch Africa in 2022, features a panel of four main hosts: Nedu, Husband Material, Deity Cole, and Ezinne.

Nedu’s departure has sparked mixed reactions, with some fans supporting his decision while others express disappointment at his exit from the widely followed podcast.
