Kabir Akanbi Appointed Acting Chief Registrar Of Supreme Court

The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, has approved the appointment of Kabir Akanbi as the Acting Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, effective February 13, 2025.

The announcement was made in a press statement issued on Friday in Abuja by the Supreme Court’s Deputy Director of Information and Public Relations, Ahmed Umar.

Akanbi’s appointment follows the retirement of Hajo Sarki Bello, who stepped down after reaching the mandatory retirement age of 60 in public service.

Before his new role, Akanbi served as the Deputy Chief Registrar of the Election Petition Tribunal Unit at the Court of Appeal headquarters in Abuja.
