Governor Diri Denies Claims Of Fathering Nengi’s Child

Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, has rejected viral rumors claiming that he is the father of a child recently born to Big Brother Naija star, Nengi Hampson.

The rumors, which gained traction online, suggested that Nengi had given birth to the governor’s child and even alleged that he had multiple wives.

In a firm response, Governor Diri described the rumors as completely false and baseless.

Nengi herself addressed the claims, stating on social media that while she typically ignores social media lies, she felt the need to clarify the situation.

She emphasized that she is not pregnant by any governor and expressed her desire to continue enjoying her pregnancy in peace.

Nengi further criticized the spread of false information, noting that it not only tarnishes her reputation but also affects people she holds dear.

Governor Diri’s Director-General for New Media, Samuel Kolawole Oredipe, accused the governor’s political rivals of fabricating the rumors to undermine his administration’s achievements, particularly as the Prosperity Administration marked its fifth anniversary.

Oredipe also highlighted that Nengi had already denied the rumors publicly and warned that such distractions harm the integrity of social media platforms.
