Speed Darlington Claims Narrow Escape From Assassination Attempt

Nigerian rapper Speed Darlington has accused unknown assailants of attempting to assassinate him early Monday morning.

The incident reportedly took place as he was leaving a club in the Victoria Island area of Lagos State.

This allegation comes just days after Darlington’s release from Kuje prison, where he had been detained under unclear circumstances.

In a video shared on his Instagram, Darlington showed the damage to his car, which had been struck multiple times by gunfire. Bullet holes were visible in the rear of the vehicle.

In the emotional video, Darlington remarked, “Long face sent killers my way, and I haven’t even posted anything. Bro, is this necessary? You tried to take my life. Really?”

He also expressed confusion about why someone would target him, adding, “I never said anything, and he’s sending killers. What’s he afraid of? That means I must be right.”

The rapper’s accusations have sparked further concerns regarding his safety following his recent release from detention.
