American rapper Cardi B has shrugged off concerns about the TikTok ban in the United States, saying it will not impact her career.

TikTok ceased operations in the U.S. on January 19 after its Chinese owners failed to comply with a law enacted by President Joe Biden in April 2024, which mandated the platform’s sale to a U.S.-based entity.

Following the ban, a social media user with the X handle @1lex mocked rappers who rely on TikTok for promotion, suggesting they might need to find alternative jobs.

The user wrote: “Now, all the female TikTok rappers gotta find real jobs. You first, @imcardib.”

Cardi B, known for her unfiltered responses, replied: “Babe, I’m getting a $7 million offer to do my own vitamins. I can retire you from your flipping burger job by tomorrow. Thank me though; I’ve been helping you get your $8.99 Twitter check.”

The rapper’s response has since gone viral, further solidifying her confidence and financial independence amid the social media shakeup.
