Six Soldiers Killed, 34 Terrorists Neutralized In Damboa Attack

In retaliation, joint air and ground forces neutralized over 34 terrorists and recovered weapons and ammunition.  

According to Major General Edward Buba, Director of Defence Media Operations, the terrorists, equipped with motorcycles and gun trucks, attempted to retaliate against the recent killing of their commanders but were repelled by troops, with reinforcement teams and air support effectively overpowering them.  

Recovered items include 23 AK-47 rifles and over 200 rounds of ammunition. The Defence Headquarters reiterated its commitment to defeating insurgency and terrorism in Nigeria.
