Tinubu Arrives in Ghana for Mahama’s Inauguration Ceremony

President Bola Tinubu arrived in Accra, Ghana, on January 6, 2025, to attend the inauguration of President-elect John Mahama, scheduled for January 7.

Tinubu was warmly received at the Kotoka International Airport by Julius Debra, the Chief of Staff to Ghana’s President.

As Chairman of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, Tinubu will join fellow African leaders in witnessing Mahama’s official return to power after his victory in the December 2024 elections.

Mahama will succeed outgoing President Nana Akuffo-Addo.
