Adeboye Refutes AI-Generated Image Depicting Him As ‘Alhaji’

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has addressed a viral AI-generated image portraying him in Islamic attire as an alhaji.

Speaking during the first Holy Ghost Night of 2025, Adeboye dismissed the image, acknowledging it with humor but firmly refuting its authenticity.

The image, which surfaced in late December 2024, depicted Adeboye dressed in Islamic garments, standing near the Kaabah in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

On the platform X (formerly Twitter), the image gained significant traction, sparking widespread reactions.

In his sermon, Adeboye condemned the actions of mockers while emphasizing God’s wish for sinners to repent, rather than perish.

He also delivered prophetic insights for 2025, calling for prayers amid global tensions and predicting a massive earthquake.

Adeboye outlined the RCCG’s plans for a 100-day fast, urging focused prayers for Nigeria’s peace and development.

He also advised older members of the congregation on fasting guidelines and warned against treating the spiritual exercise lightly.

Despite the controversies surrounding the AI-generated image, Adeboye remains focused on spreading hope and leading his congregation into what he describes as a “brighter future” for both individuals and the nation.
