Shettima Returns To Abuja After Spiritual Journey

Vice President Kashim Shettima has returned to Abuja after completing the lesser hajj (Umrah) at the Holy Mosque of Makkah in Saudi Arabia.  

According to a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications, Stanley Nkwocha, Shettima offered prayers for Nigeria’s peace and stability during his time at the holy site.  

“Our prayer is for peace to prevail in our land. May Allah grant our land peace and social harmony,” the Vice President said, extending his supplications to Nigeria’s leadership across all levels.

Before the pilgrimage, Shettima represented President Bola Tinubu at the commissioning of a $315 million oil production and storage facility owned by Oriental Energy Limited in Dubai, UAE.  

The Vice President’s diplomatic and official engagements have spanned 61 days abroad, covering 12 countries on 12 trips, with over 200 flight hours accumulated. 

Countries visited include Rome, Russia, South Africa, Cuba, China, the United States, Switzerland, Kenya, and Sweden, among others.  

Shettima’s commitment to international collaboration and prayers for Nigeria’s progress reflect his dedication to national and global development.
