The Nigerian Navy Board has announced the promotion of 146 senior officers to various ranks in a significant career advancement exercise.
According to a statement by the Nigerian Navy spokesperson, Commodore Aiwuyor Adams-Aliu, the promotions include 24 Commodores elevated to Rear Admiral, 26 Captains promoted to Commodore, and 96 Commanders advanced to Captain.
Among the officers promoted to Rear Admiral are:
– Ibrahim Mohammed-Katsina
– Suleman Dahun
– Gideon Jinjirim Kachim
– Abolade Olanrele Ogunleye
– Seminu Adisa Adepegb
– Bob-Manuel Kokoete Effiong
– Musliu Olatokunbo Yussuff
– Samuel Innocent Ngatuwa
The list of newly elevated Commodores includes:
– Mohammed Ahmed Abdullahi
– Kabir Umar Rabiu
– Bashir Abubakar
– Temitope Adeshola Bamidele
– Sylvester Kennedy Ogogo
– Babatunde Usman Quadri
The Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, congratulated the officers and urged them to uphold professionalism, rededicate themselves to their duties, and remain loyal to the nation and President Bola Tinubu, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
