Ganduje’s Fraud Trial: Court Adjourns Hearing To February 13, 2025

The trial of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, on charges of alleged bribery and misappropriation of public funds, has been adjourned by a Kano State High Court to February 13, 2025.

The Kano State Government filed an eight-count charge against Ganduje, his wife Hafsat Umar, and five other individuals alongside three companies, alleging corruption involving billions of naira.

During Wednesday’s proceedings, Ganduje’s counsel, M.N. Duru, SAN, requested the withdrawal of an earlier application seeking witness statements. 

The court struck out the application but faced objections from other defense teams, leading to further motions and counter-affidavits.

Justice Amina Adamu-Aliyu overruled objections and set the February date to hear all pending preliminary motions.
