Leaders Selected By God Have Better Chances Of Success – Obasanjo

Former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo has emphasized that leaders chosen by God are more likely to succeed than those influenced by Satan.

Speaking during a virtual interactive session tagged “Boiling Point Arena” on Sunday night, the former President highlighted that not all leaders are made by God, asserting that Satan also has the power to create leaders.

Obasanjo explained that God often prepares individuals for leadership without their knowledge, citing biblical examples such as Joseph, Moses, and David. He stated, “God has a way of preparing people for leadership even without them knowing… Most leaders prepared by God have higher chances of success than those who make themselves leaders.”

However, he rejected the notion that all leaders are divinely appointed, saying, “A leader can also be made by Satan. Satan is real, and his power should not be underrated.”

Obasanjo also referenced the biblical story of Job, where Satan tested Job under God’s permission, to underline his point about the influence of evil in leadership.

He concluded by stressing the importance of rigorous training for individuals aspiring to lead, noting that true preparation is essential for effective leadership.
