Ibrahim Chatta Declares Himself One Of Nigeria’s Highest-Paid Yoruba-Speaking Actors

Actor and filmmaker Ibrahim Chatta has confidently refuted claims that he is underrated in the Nigerian movie industry.

In a recent appearance on the ‘Talk To B’ podcast, Chatta stated, “I’m one of the highest-paid Yoruba-speaking actors in Nigeria.”

Reflecting on his journey, the actor shared details of his humble beginnings, explaining that he started his career by creating promotional jingles and movie soundtracks for over 400 films and firms.

His persistence and dedication eventually earned him recognition in the industry.

Chatta recalled working as a bus conductor for a time to support himself and his family before he got his big break in film music.

“I told my mum I was fine, but I wasn’t, so I worked as a conductor for a while,” he revealed. “Eventually, I started composing soundtracks for over 400 films and jingles for businesses.”

From studio work to acting, Chatta’s path to success has been marked by hard work, which he credits for his current standing as one of the highest-paid in the industry.
