Investors in the Nigerian equities market lost N18.98bn at the end of the trading session on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX) on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.
This followed a dip in the share prices of stocks like SOVRENINS, JOHN HOLT, and ELLAHLAKES amongst others on the trading floor.
After five hours of trading at the capital market, the equity capitalization fell to N59.226 trillion from N59.245 trillion that was recorded by the bourse on Monday.
The benchmark All-Share Index (ASI) decreased to 97,702.56 from 97,733.86 recorded the previous trading day.

The market breadth was positive as 29 stocks advanced and 22 stocks declined, while 68 stocks remained unchanged in 9,403 deals.
BETAGLAS, GOLDBREW, and WAPCO led other gainers with 10%, 10% and 9.95% growth each in share prices to close at N53.90, N4.07, and N70.15 from the previous N49.00, N3.70 and N63.80 per share.
SOVRENINS, JOHN HOLT, and ELLAHLAKES led other price decliners with 10%, 9.98%, and 9.92% decline each in share prices to close at N0.72, N8.03, and N3.18 from the previous N0.80, N8.92 and N3.53 per share.
On the volume index, MANSARD led trading with 32 million shares in 101 deals followed by UBA which traded 31 million shares in 642 deals.

ACCESSCORP traded 27 million shares in 523 deals.
On the value index, ARADEL topped as the securities traded stock worth N1.7 billion in 346 deals followed by UBA which traded equities worth N1 billion in 642 deals.
WAPCO traded shares valued at N993 million in 184 deals.
