Dismissed Police Inspector Speaks Out On Exposing Alleged Rapist Colleague

Dismissed Edo State Police Command Inspector Edith Uduma has shed light on her controversial dismissal after exposing a fellow officer, Sergeant Uzuobo Abraham, for allegedly raping a female suspect in custody.

In an exclusive interview, Uduma detailed the October 2024 incident, explaining her suspicion when Abraham delayed returning the cell keys.

Upon investigation, she found Abraham with the female suspect in an office. She recorded the encounter as evidence and reported it to her superiors.

Uduma claims her actions led to retaliation, including her dismissal and allegations that she and her husband attempted to extort N1m from Abraham. “I didn’t collect any money or negotiate a cover-up,” she said, calling for the case to be reopened and investigated publicly.

The dismissed inspector also revealed the personal toll of the incident, including her husband’s demotion and the mysterious disappearance of her 14-year-old daughter.

“My goal is simple: justice. I want Nigerians to know the truth about my dismissal,” she stated, urging transparency and accountability within the police force.
