JUST IN: Former Aviation Minister Osita Chidoka Resigns From PDP

Osita Chidoka, a former Minister of Aviation and one-time Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), has officially resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Chidoka announced his decision during an appearance on *Channels Television’s Politics Today* on Friday, stating that he is stepping away from active politics to focus on his non-profit organization, the Athena Centre.

“Earlier today, I sent a letter to my ward in Anambra State, officially resigning from the PDP. I am leaving the PDP and politics for some time to concentrate on the Athena Centre,” Chidoka revealed.

He further emphasized his intention to collaborate with other Nigerians interested in reforming the nation’s political system, advocating for evidence-based governance.

“So, effective today, I am no longer a member of the Peoples Democratic Party. I will work with others to reform the political system in Nigeria,” he added.

The former minister’s move signals a temporary hiatus from politics as he prioritizes civic engagement and systemic reforms.
