Ukraine Deploys US-Supplied Missiles In Strike On Russia’s Bryansk Region

In a major escalation of the Ukraine-Russia conflict, Ukraine has launched a strike on a military facility in Russia’s Bryansk region using US-supplied long-range ATACMS missiles.

The attack, confirmed by the Russian Ministry of Defence, occurred at 3:25 am local time on Tuesday.

Out of six ballistic missiles launched, five were intercepted by Russian air defenses, while debris from the sixth caused a small fire at the military site. The ministry reported no casualties or significant damage.

Moscow condemned the strike, warning that using Western-supplied weapons on Russian territory crosses a “red line” and implicates the United States as a direct participant in the conflict. The Kremlin promised an “appropriate and palpable response.”

Ukrainian officials have hailed the deployment of the missiles as a turning point in the nearly three-year war.

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, Andrii Sybiha, described the advanced weapons as a potential “game changer” in the effort to reclaim lost territory and push back Russian forces.

This development underscores the increasing stakes in the war, as both sides brace for further escalation.
