FAAN To Temporarily Shut Power Supply At Lagos Airport For Maintenance

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has announced a scheduled power supply shutdown at the International Terminal 2 (ITZ-2) of Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on Saturday, November 16, 2024.

The shutdown will occur from 1:00 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. to facilitate the replacement of the 11KVA high-tension panel for Bus Riser.

In a statement by Obiageli Orah, FAAN’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, the maintenance will be conducted with minimal disruption to flight operations and passenger facilitation.

Royal Air Maroc, which operates during the affected hours, will relocate its check-in and arrival processes to International Terminal 1 (ITZ-1).

FAAN assured airlines, security agencies, and concessionaires of prior notification and extended apologies for any inconvenience.

The agency emphasized that the safety and security of airport users remain a top priority.
