NITDA, RHI Empower Women In ICT With Laptops

To bridge the digital divide and foster a digitally inclusive future, beneficiaries of the Women in ICT Training and Empowerment Programme, organised by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) in collaboration with the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), have received brand-new laptops and financial grants from Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Nigeria’s First Lady attended the programme’s closing ceremony, emphasising the government’s commitment to digital literacy and inclusivity—a vision aligned with the President’s goal of a digitally empowered nation.

The First Lady’s support underscores a commitment to fostering an inclusive, digitally empowered society, demonstrating how technology can drive transformation and create equal opportunities across Nigeria.

The Women in ICT Training and Empowerment Programme is part of NITDA’s broader Digital Literacy for All (#DL4ALL) initiative, an ambitious effort to enhance digital literacy and skills acquisition across Nigeria. Aiming to achieve 70% digital literacy by 2027, the programme seeks to bridge digital gaps, ensuring that more Nigerians, particularly women, are equipped to thrive in a technology-driven world
