400 Sex Tapes: Ex-Anti-Graft Chief In Equatorial Guinea Jailed

The former Director-General of Equatorial Guinea’s National Financial Investigation Agency, Baltasar Engonga, has been jailed in Malabo’s Black Beach Prison following a scandal involving over 400 recorded sex tapes of married women linked to prominent figures.

Engonga, a 54-year-old economist, was arrested as part of a fraud investigation that led officials to uncover CDs allegedly documenting his encounters.

Following the discovery, a video surfaced online showing Engonga in chains during a court appearance. In response, President Obiang Nguema Mbasogo dismissed him from his post on November 6, citing “irregularities” and conduct deemed inappropriate for public office. Engonga now faces charges of corruption, embezzlement, and further public outrage as footage from the tapes circulates on social media.

Reports indicate he is held in Black Beach Prison, known for its harsh conditions, as the scandal continues to dominate headlines across the region.
