Kamala Harris Delays Address To Supporters As Election Outcome Unclear

The campaign of Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris announced that the vice president will not speak to supporters on election night, as key states remain undecided.

Cedric Richmond, co-chair of the Harris campaign, confirmed early Wednesday, “We still have votes to count. We still have states that have not been called yet. We will continue overnight to fight to make sure that every vote is counted, that every voice has spoken.”

Richmond added that while Harris would not address supporters tonight, she is expected to do so tomorrow. Earlier on Tuesday, Harris had spent time with her family at her Washington residence before heading to an election watch party at Howard University, her alma mater.

Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump appears closer to securing a return to the White House after several U.S. networks called the key battleground states of North Carolina and Georgia in his favor.
