Police Launches Manhunt For Killers Of A Drummer In Edo Community

The Edo State Police Command has launched a manhunt to fish out killers of a drummer in Osholo, a community in Uwanno kingdom of Etsako East LG of the state, simply identified as HC Ikhamateh Akhumhele, the drummer was alleged to have been killed by kidnappers.

SP Moses Yamu, The PPRO of Edo State Police Command confirmed the incident:

“We are meeting with community leaders on this unfortunate incident while tactical teams have been deployed to comb the crime scene and its surroundings for possible arrest of the suspects.

“The DPOs sharing boundaries with that area have also been alerted on the matter to be on the look out for these suspects.

“The Command will appreciate any information from members of the public that could help the police in fishing out the perpetrators.” He said.

Reports has it that the drummer was murdered on Saturday, 26 October, 2024 between 6 and 7 pm, along Iviukwe road in the community, it was no ascertained what prompted the murder.

It would be recalled that the Police station near the scene of the incident was recently attacked and razed by youths of the community when a young man simply identified as Junior was kidnapped and later killed.
