Gambaryan, Binance Executive, Flown Out of Nigeria by US Govt. In Medically Equipped Aircraft

Following the release of Binance executive Tigran Gambaryan from the Correctional Centre in Abuja, the United States government has dispatched a medically equipped aircraft to evacuate him from Nigeria.

The Matrix previously reported that the Nigerian government dropped the money laundering charges against Binance and its executives on Wednesday.

On Saturday, US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan stated that Gambaryan’s release resulted from “less confrontational” discussions between Nigerian and US officials.

“A plane equipped with medical facilities left Abuja to bring him back to the US for necessary medical attention,” he noted.
Gambaryan was arrested during a business trip to Nigeria in February and had been held at Kuje Correctional Centre in Abuja since April. On October 23, 2024, Nigeria’s anti-corruption agency officially dropped the charges against him.
