Nearly 200,000 Displaced In Lebanon Amid Escalating Israeli Strikes

Nearly 200,000 people have been displaced across Lebanon as Israeli strikes on the country approach 11,000, according to a report from the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health.

The highest concentrations of displaced individuals are in Mount Lebanon and Beirut, though officials believe the true number of displaced is likely much higher.

The strikes, which intensified in recent weeks, have resulted in at least 2,574 deaths and 12,001 injuries.

To accommodate those displaced, 1,097 centers have been established, with 922 already at full capacity.

The humanitarian crisis has also led to a significant movement of people across borders, with 344,819 Syrian nationals and 150,104 Lebanese nationals fleeing to Syria between September 23 and October 23.
