Comedian Seyi Law has made it clear that he doesn’t view the comedy industry as competitive, especially when it comes to veterans such as Alibaba, Julius Agwu, Basketmouth, and AY.

In a recent interview on Hip TV’s “Trending,” Seyi Law shared insights into his relationships with these comedy icons. He expressed deep respect and gratitude for their influence and support throughout his career.

Reflecting on his experiences, Seyi Law explained, “I’ve had the privilege to work with everyone, from touring with Julius Agwu to performing at events for Basketmouth. These veterans, including Alibaba and AY, have supported me without discrimination. As a Yoruba man, I was taught never to disrespect those who have provided for me.”

He added that he’s not interested in competing for ranking within the comedy industry, saying, “They are my senior colleagues, and I respect them deeply. I’m not here to drag for positions—our collective success is what matters. We must protect the comedy industry and ensure it thrives.”
