Nuhu Ribadu Says Illicit Weapons In Circulation Belongs To Federal Government

The National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, has disclosed that a significant number of illicit weapons in circulation originally belonged to the federal government. 

He revealed that the weapons ended up in the hands of non-state actors through rogue elements within the security agencies.

Ribadu made this statement during the arms destruction exercise organized by the National Centre for the Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons (NCCSALW) at Muhammadu Buhari Cantonment in Abuja.

He condemned the actions of security personnel involved in supplying weapons to terrorists, bandits, and other non-state actors, vowing that the government would do everything necessary to secure the nation.
