Falana, Falz Give Bobrisky 12-Hour Ultimatum To Retract Defamatory Claims

Human rights lawyer Femi Falana and his son, popular musician Falz, have issued a 12-hour ultimatum to crossdresser Bobrisky (Idris Okuneye) to apologize and retract allegedly defamatory statements he made in audio recordings.

The claims, shared by media critic Martin Otse (VeryDarkMan), suggest that Bobrisky solicited help from Falz to persuade his father for a presidential pardon in exchange for money.

In a legal letter dated October 14, 2024, Falana’s attorneys accused Bobrisky of making false and damaging statements, including claims that he sought N10 million for a pardon and N3 million for preferential treatment in Kirikiri Correctional Centre.

They demanded a full retraction and public apology across all platforms where the statements were made, asserting that these allegations have harmed Falana’s reputation.

The legal team emphasized that Bobrisky’s assertions are unfounded and aimed at extorting money from the public.

They highlighted that Falana has never spoken to Bobrisky regarding any pardon request and warned of legal action if an apology is not received promptly.

Additionally, a Lagos State High Court has ruled that VeryDarkMan must remove defamatory content linking Bobrisky to Falana and Falz from his social media.
