“I Hung Out With Wizkid” – Davido Clears Air On Rift

Famous Afrobeat artist Davido has clarified that there was no conflict between him and fellow musician Wizkid.

Davido disclosed during an interview with BBC that he spent time with Wizkid before releasing his *Timeless* album in 2023 to show fans that there was no ongoing feud and to ensure that the album’s release was free from unnecessary drama.

A video of the interview, shared by bwetv.ng on Instagram, shows Davido recounting how he reached out to a key fan, Tomiwa, to prevent clashes with Wizkid’s fanbase, known as “FC.”

“I called Tomiwa, one of my key fans, and asked him not to fight with Wizkid’s supporters because I wanted my album to come out smoothly,” Davido said.

Meanwhile, Fireboy has reacted to the issue, noting that artists conflicts will  continue to occur in Nigerian music.

“Everyone should just focus on what concerns them. Let artists be artists, fans be fans, and the media keep telling the stories,” the singer says.

“Beef, everything is all normal. We are all human,” Fireboy says on the conflict between artists with the most recent being another showdown between Wizkid and Davido.
