Iran FM Reportedly Calls European Counterparts After Attack On Israel

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi reportedly held phone discussions with European counterparts immediately following Iran’s missile strike on Israel,

According to Iranian state media on Wednesday, Araghchi reportedly spoke with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and officials from the UK, France, and other nations.

He warned that if Israel retaliates, Iran’s response “will be even tougher,” though he emphasized Iran is not seeking escalation but does not fear conflict.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for firing 200 missiles at Israel on Tuesday evening, in retaliation for the recent deaths of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah’s Hassan Nasrallah, and an Iranian general.

Israeli military sources estimate the number of missiles fired at around 180, with key targets including Israeli air bases and Mossad headquarters.
