#FearlessProtest: FG Calls For Calm As Stakeholders Press For Action On Unmet Demands

Despite calls for calm from the Federal Government and some stakeholders, the organizers of the October 1protests have confirmed their plans to move forward with the demonstration against economic hardship. 

Mr. Deji Adeyanju, a lawyer representing the August 1 protesters, cited the government’s failure to address earlier demands as the primary reason for the new protest.

While the Lagos and Jigawa State police prepare to ensure security, the government urged protesters to remain peaceful.

Protest organizers remain firm, asserting the constitutional right to protest and criticizing the lack of government engagement since President Bola Tinubu’s promises.
