Nkunku Hat-Trick Sends Chelsea Into Fourth Round Of Carabao Cup

Christopher Nkunku netted a hat-trick as Chelsea sailed into the fourth round of the Carabao Cup with a dominant win over League 2 side Barrow at Stamford Bridge.

Nkunku opened the scoring just eight minutes in the first half, calmly slotting the ball home after a well-placed chipped pass from Joao Felix. The French forward quickly doubled Chelsea’s lead, skillfully flicking Malo Gusto’s low cross into the net.

Chelsea extended their advantage before halftime when a Felix free-kick hit the post and deflected off Barrow goalkeeper, Paul Farman, making it 3-0 at the break.

Pedro Neto added a fourth for the Blues just two minutes into the second half, tapping in from close range after a precise pass across the goal by Mykhailo Mudryk.

Nkunku completed his hat-trick in the 75th minute, capitalizing on a mistake by goalkeeper Farman to steal the ball and pass it into an empty net.

This marks Nkunku’s first hat-trick for Chelsea, bringing his tally to six goals in eight appearances this season. It was also his first start since Chelsea’s opening-day loss to Manchester City last month.
