IGP Orders Immediate Redeployment Of Commissioners Of Police In Rivers, Delta, FCT

In a strategic move to enhance the effectiveness of the Nigeria Police Force, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD., NPM., has ordered the immediate redeployment of the Commissioners of Police in Rivers State, Delta State, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The redeployment includes CP Olatunji Disu, who moves from the Rivers State Command to become the new CP of FCT; CP Abaniwonda Olufemi, previously with the Delta State Command, who will now lead the Rivers State Command; and CP Peter Opara, who will transition from the FCT Command to the Delta State Command.

Additionally, with the approval of the Police Service Commission, the IGP has deployed four new Commissioners of Police to head the Abia, Lagos, Ebonyi, and Akwa Ibom State Commands.

The new assignments are as follows: CP Danladi Nda to Abia State Command; CP Olanrewaju Ishola Olawale to Lagos State Command; CP Anthonia Adaku Uche-Anya, fdc, to Ebonyi State Command; and CP Festus Eribo to Akwa Ibom State Command.

These redeployments align with the IGP’s mission to strategically reposition the Police Force, optimizing the available human resources for effective policing.

The IGP has urged the newly appointed CPs to perform their duties with diligence, embrace innovative approaches to addressing security challenges, and support the ongoing police reform initiatives aimed at advancing the Nigeria Police Force and contributing to the nation’s growth.
