CAF Confirms Dates for CHAN 2024

Following the CAF Executive Committee meeting in Nairobi, Kenya, CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe has announced the schedule for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024.

Tournament Dates:The CHAN 2024 final tournament will take place from February 1 to February 28, 2025.

Qualifier Dates: The first round of qualifiers is set for the weekend of October 25-27, 2024.

The 2024 edition of CHAN will be hosted in East Africa. CAF will provide details on the specific stadiums and venues in due course.

On Sunday, Dr. Motsepe visited various venues in Kenya that are being prepared for CHAN. He acknowledged the progress and commitment of the Kenyan government but emphasized the need for a concerted effort to ensure all facilities are ready in time.

Senegal holds the current CHAN title, having won the championship against Algeria in Algiers two years ago.
