20 Abducted Medical Students Regain Freedom In Benue

Security forces in Benue State have reportedly rescued the twenty medical students who were abducted on Thursday evening.

Recall, The Matrix reported that 20 medical students were kidnapped while traveling to Enugu for the annual convention of the Federation of Catholic Medical and Dental Students (FECAMDS).

Following the abduction, the kidnappers had contacted the victims’ families, demanding a ransom of ₦50 million for the students’ release.

According to sources, the students have been rescued and the rescue operation, coordinated by the National Security Adviser’s office, involved a joint effort by the police, DSS, military, and Benue State government.

While details of the operation remain scarce, it is confirmed that the students have been safely returned to their families.
