Pep Guardiola has secured the return of Ilkay Gundogan to Manchester City on a free transfer.
The midfielder spent seven years at the Etihad Stadium between 2016 and 2023, winning five Premier League titles and the Champions League.
He joins Barcelona on a one-year contract with the option of extending for another year.

He rejoins the club after leaving for Barcelona last summer on a free transfer. Gundogan becomes City’s second summer signing following the arrival of Savinho from Troyes for £3.6m.
However, Gundogan, who retired from international football earlier this week, made 304 appearances and scored 60 goals in his first stint at City.
